MACRAME OR ELASTIC BRACELET?
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE AND WHAT TO CHOOSE?
An elastic bracelet can certainly make a beautiful wrist companion and is probably the easiest choice of all jewelry accessories as well. Unfortunately it can also be by far the most frustrating, when suddenly the cord snaps and every bead you’ve come to love is now scattering like a deadly virus all across the dancefloor.
However, there is a simple way to avoid your elastic jewelry from falling into pieces and it all begins with the quality of the string. At Demanic we only use the strongest and most durable cord we can possibly get our hands on, and to top it all we always add a tiny squirt of glue on the hidden knot of every elastic bracelet we sell in order to guarantee you the very best wristband experience on the market.
Macrame is an ancient knotting form commonly known to have originated with the 13th-century Arab weavers, but most likely it dates even further back to China during the Warring States period. Eventually sailors picked up the technique and integrated it into belts, hats and decorations made during the many hours on the sea, which they later sold at each port they stopped, spreading the technique to nearly every corner of our planet.
For almost four years now we have practiced the art of Macrame on a daily basis making us somewhat experts in the field, and we promise that our strive for perfection will forever continue in every Macrame knot we’ll ever make for as long as we keep on doing what we do.
